Putting in a 355 and other goodies in my 92 RS and starting to consider a paint job.  I trying to look for websites with galleries, not only for camaros but other muscle cars that can inspire me.  If y'all know of any please post.  Also, I saw a red w/ white stripes 3rd gen. camaro powered with an LS1 featured in March-April-May, but not sure if it was Super Chevy or Camaro Performers magazine.  If anyone has an idea or can help, please post, thanks.

What color was your car originally?

It's still black, but thinking of red w/ white/silvery stripes.

Not a bad choice. But, have you thought about painting it Atomic Orange with silver stripes? The color looks fantastic on the Corvettes, and every time I look at my '92 RS with it's faded Purple Haze factory paint, the color keeps calling to me.

Hadn't thought about that.  I bounce around the idea of hugger orange with black stripes.  Good suggestion, I'll keep that in mind.  Anyone else?

It's funny, to me (and I've been around Camaros and cars all my life. My Dad had a Hugger Orange L78/M22 '69) Hugger Orange has never looked as good on the 3rd Gens as much as it does on the first, second, and even 4th Gens.

Don't know if it's the body lines or what, it just seems that color has never fit the 3rd Gens well.

I found one online and it seems to looks pretty good.  Still debating it though.

Something else I'll say, suggestions are good, I've never had a problem giving them, but in the end, remember, it's YOUR car. If you wanted to paint it fluorescent orange, as long as you feel good driving it, then that's all that matters.

You're the only one you have to please, don't feel obligated to make everyone else happy at the expense of what you want. Unless you're married, then of course pleasing the wife comes first! :-)

you got that wife part right. 355rs go down to a chevy dealer and look at some new colors in person. i'm keeping my 92rs white w/ red stripes, maybe chage a little. boyd did a camaro and they curved the stripes down the fender and added some lettering where most cars have it.
