What gives with aftermarket parts? I have a '66 Malibu I putting back together. I bought a new aftermarket SS hood from Goodmark. My paint guy spent 25+ hours just getting the hood to fit and look right! I went to put on the new aftermarket exterior door handles and they don't fit. The mounting holes are drilled in the wrong place! The new aftermarket taillight bezels aren't even close to fitting! My glass guy that does lots of classic cars says the new aftermarket windshield and rear window trim won't go on because the bends and lengths are all wrong. He doesn't think he can get it to work but is still trying. Why are these parts suppliers selling this crap? Who makes it? I'm sure it is coming from overseas! I paid a heck of a lot of money for stuff that is probably useless! I can't send it back because I have been buying it over the last year or so as I get money while the car has been in the paint shop and the return time period has elapsed. I bought this crap from many of the big name suppliers like Year One, Ground Up, OPGI and others. Does anyone know of a supplier that sells correctly fitting, US made parts? These suppliers need to sell only good quality, correctly fitting parts, not this cheap overseas crap! Thanks for letting me vent! I'm pretty down right now thinking about all the other pieces I haven't even tried to put on yet and all the money i have potentially thrown away! Thanks again!

I'd check with Chuck Hanson's Chevelle Club, and post to their forum about your problem. You'll have a bunch of Chevelle/Malibu oriented guys ot help you out, and a few have probably experienced the same problem.
